Clir — Credits & Referrals Policy
This policy explains how Clir assessment-page credits work and how eligible users can earn referral credits.
It applies to promotional credits issued to approved Clir Partners and other eligible Agency workspace customers.
1. What is a page credit?
A page credit is an allowance to assess one eligible webpage using Clir's project assessment service.
One credit is consumed for each page when an eligible project starts successfully.
Credits are units of Clir service, not a monetary balance. They cannot be withdrawn, exchanged for cash, sold, transferred or used to pay for unrelated services.
2. Introductory Partner credits
An approved Clir Partner receives 500 introductory page credits after accepting the Programme Terms.
The allowance is issued once per approved partner.
Introductory credits:
- can be used across eligible projects of up to 50 pages each;
- expire six months after activation;
- do not renew automatically;
- are not transferred to another account; and
- do not require a paid Agency Pass subscription.
The workspace displays the available balance and expiry date.
Starting a project consumes the required credits. Included rechecks follow that project's existing 90-day service window.
If Clir cannot assess some pages of a project, the credits for those pages are restored. A project cancelled before its assessment begins releases its credits. Credits for pages already assessed are not restored, and a completed project cannot be cancelled to reclaim credits.
3. Referral rewards
Eligible Agency workspace users may share their unique Clir referral link.
When an eligible first-time customer completes a qualifying paid purchase, the referring account may earn:
| Qualifying first purchase | Reward |
|---|---|
| One Page assessment | 10 page credits |
| Several Pages assessment | 25 page credits |
| Agency Pass Solo | 100 page credits |
| Agency Pass Studio | 200 page credits |
| Agency Pass Agency | 400 page credits |
The reward is determined by the qualifying product purchased, not by what the referred customer spends later.
A customer who has bought from Clir before is not a first-time customer. We recognise returning customers from the email address, payment customer or card used, and from an address that already has a workspace or pass.
A referral link identifies a possible introduction; it is not a guarantee of credit. A reward is credited when the purchase comes from a scan or page list started through your link and meets the eligibility, payment and refund rules below. Clir cannot add attribution afterwards. Attribution may be unavailable if a visitor removes the tracking information from the link, changes device or does not use the link.
4. When referral credits are awarded
Referral rewards are pending for 30 days after the qualifying purchase.
Credits become available after that period if the purchase remains eligible and has not been refunded, reversed or identified as fraudulent.
Each qualifying customer can generate only one first-purchase referral reward, and a customer cannot be attributed to more than one referring account for the same purchase.
5. Annual referral limit
An eligible account may earn a maximum of 600 referral credits per programme year.
For this policy, the programme year is a rolling 365-day period, counted from the date of each qualifying purchase.
If a qualifying reward would take you past the limit, you receive the remaining credits up to 600. For example, if you have already earned 550 referral credits in the period, an otherwise eligible 100-credit reward grants 50 credits. Nothing above 600 is awarded within the period.
Your credit activity shows pending, available and expired referral credits separately.
6. Referral credit expiry
Referral credits expire 12 months after they are awarded.
Their expiry is separate from the six-month expiry that applies to introductory Partner credits. Introductory credits and referral credits are separate grants, each with its own award date and expiry.
When more than one grant could pay for a project, the credits that expire first are used first.
Using credits for an eligible project before they expire starts that project's normal service window. The later expiry of unused credits does not cancel a project that is already valid and active.
7. Credits and paid Agency Pass plans
Agency Pass pages represent active project capacity. Promotional page credits represent consumable assessment allowances. These are different funding mechanisms.
When you start a project, plan capacity pays for it if it can take the whole project; otherwise credits pay for it if they cover the whole project. A project is never paid for from both. The workspace shows your plan capacity and credit balance before you start.
A project uses its credits once, even if you retry an action or open the workspace in more than one tab. Where work never starts, the credits are released once, and where some pages are assessed and others are not, credits are restored only for the pages that were not assessed.
8. Ineligible referrals and misuse
Referral rewards are unavailable for:
- self-referrals;
- duplicate or fabricated customer accounts;
- purchases made solely to generate rewards;
- refunded or reversed qualifying purchases;
- attempts to bypass referral limits; and
- other documented fraudulent activity.
Clir may withhold pending rewards while investigating suspected abuse.
Where credits were awarded because of a fraudulent or reversed purchase, Clir may correct the balance after appropriate review, subject to applicable law. Legitimately earned credits will not be removed arbitrarily.
9. Referral disclosures
If you recommend Clir publicly and may receive referral credits from resulting purchases, disclose that benefit clearly when applicable.
For example: "I use Clir and may receive assessment credits if you purchase through my link."
Do not make false claims about Clir's functionality, pricing, accessibility results or compliance guarantees. Referral credits are not earnings, cash commissions, wages or stored value: they are permission to use Clir assessment pages under these rules.
10. Balance and transaction history
Your Agency workspace includes a short credit activity list showing:
- available credits and the next expiry date;
- pending referral rewards and when they are due;
- credits used for projects;
- credits restored;
- credits that expired; and
- the source of each credit (introductory or referral).
The history does not show the identity or payment details of any referred customer. Credits do not accrue interest and are not redeemable for cash.
11. Changes, errors and support
Clir may change future introductory allowances, future referral amounts and eligibility rules for new participants, with appropriate notice. A change does not by itself remove properly granted, unexpired credits from an existing participant, unless there is a justified reason and any legally required process.
Credits issued in error, obtained through abuse or tied to a reversed purchase may be corrected in a documented and proportionate way.
If you think credits were used or expired incorrectly, contact partners@clir.site with the project or referral reference. We may ask for information to investigate, without revealing the identity or payment details of other customers.
This policy forms part of the Clir Partners Programme Terms and of the Agency service terms.
