Need help with Clir?
For help with a purchase, report, refund, privacy request or technical problem, email: support@clir.site
When contacting us about an assessment, include the website you assessed and, where available, the private report or order reference. Do not send payment-card details or passwords.
I lost my report link
When your payment is confirmed, Clir sends a purchase email to the address you gave at checkout, with the subject "Your Clir report is ready" (One Page) or "Your Clir assessment is confirmed" (Several Pages). Its private link reopens your report from any device. Search your inbox (and spam folder) for it.
If you cannot find it, choose Sign in and verify the email address you used at checkout; your workspace then lists your purchases. Or use Access your report and enter your Clir reference (it is in that email and on your report) together with the checkout email address, and we send a new secure link to that address. These are separate routes, and the reference alone opens nothing.
If that does not work, contact support with the website you assessed and the email address you used at checkout. We may ask for information needed to verify that you are connected to the purchase before restoring access.
Private report access is provided for 90 days.
Some pages weren't assessed
A page can occasionally be unavailable, block automated access or fail during processing. Clir may retry unsuccessful pages automatically.
Your report shows the pages Clir was able to process. If a significant part of your purchased assessment is missing, contact support and we'll review it.
I was charged twice
Contact us. Duplicate charges for the same purchase are eligible for a full refund.
My payment succeeded but I didn't receive a usable assessment
Contact us and we'll investigate. If Clir cannot provide the purchased assessment because of a technical failure on our side, the purchase is eligible for a full refund.
I lost my Agency Pass link
Choose Sign in and enter the email address authorised for your workspace. If a pass or workspace exists for that address, we send a new secure sign-in link. The link can be used once and expires soon after it is sent. The answer is the same whether or not one exists, so nobody can use it to find out who has an account.
If you think someone else has your link, sign in and choose "Send new access link". Every other signed-in device and earlier link stops working at once.
Who can open my Agency Pass, and my clients' reports?
Only someone with your secure access link, on the device where it was opened. Each client project has its own private report link; it opens that one report and never your Agency Pass or any other client. You can replace a report's links from the project page.
What happens to my client projects if I cancel the Agency Pass?
Cancelling stops renewal. You can keep starting client projects until the period you paid for ends. Projects you have already started carry on for their own 90-day window, with their own report links, rechecks and Closeout, whether or not the pass is renewed. After the window, findings and results are removed under the retention policy.
Can Clir certify that my website is compliant?
No. Clir identifies accessibility issues that its assessment can detect within the selected scope.
Accessibility can also depend on context, human judgement and user interaction. A Clir report should not be treated as a certification, legal opinion or guarantee that a website meets every accessibility requirement.
Why did my results change between scans?
A Clir report reflects the rendered page at the time the assessment runs. If content, components, scripts, third-party widgets or page behaviour change, a later scan can produce different results. A temporary loading or availability difference can also affect what the browser is able to assess.
If you have just changed the website, use one of the 2 rechecks included with a paid assessment to see what happened to each original finding, or run a new assessment of the updated page. An older report does not update itself.
What does ‘needs review’ mean?
Some accessibility questions cannot be settled reliably by automation alone. Clir keeps those items separate from confirmed findings and identifies what should be checked rather than presenting an uncertain result as a confirmed failure.
A needs-review item is therefore a prompt for human judgement, not a statement that the website has failed the referenced requirement.
Why can a page fail to scan?
A page may block automated access, time out, redirect unexpectedly, require authentication or a CAPTCHA, become unavailable, or depend on a page state the assessment cannot reach. In a multi-page assessment, Clir may retry unsuccessful pages while preserving pages that completed successfully.
An unsuccessful page is not treated as a page with zero accessibility findings. If a significant part of a purchased assessment is missing, contact support so the completed and unsuccessful scope can be reviewed.
How should I share a report?
Paid reports use private report access. You can share the report with the employees, developers, contractors or advisers who need it for the assessed website, but treat the private report link as confidential and avoid posting it publicly.
When your payment is confirmed, Clir emails the private link to the address you gave at checkout. Keep that email: it is how you return to the report. If you lose the link during the access period, search your inbox and spam folder for it first, then contact support. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to connect you with the relevant purchase before restoring access.
I fixed an issue. Why is it still in my old report?
Reports are records of a completed assessment; they are not continuously rewritten as the live website changes. After remediation, use a recheck (a paid assessment includes 2 rechecks within 90 days) to compare the page as it renders now with the original findings. Run a new assessment for pages outside the original scope, or after that period. The earlier report remains a record of what Clir observed at the earlier assessment time.
What should I send support?
Include the website or page concerned and, where available, the private report or order reference. If the problem concerns a particular page or finding, say which one and describe what you expected to happen. Screenshots can be useful when the problem is visual.
Do not send passwords, full payment-card details or other credentials. Clir does not need them to investigate an assessment or payment issue.
What is a recheck?
After your developers make changes, Clir can check the pages of your assessment again and show what happened to each original finding. Your assessment includes 2 rechecks for 90 days.
A recheck is an automated check. It cannot show that a page is accessible, and it only covers the pages of your original assessment.
How do I see all my purchases together?
Choose Sign in and use an email address you can verify. Purchases made with that address appear in your workspace together. Each purchase keeps its own report period and its own rechecks, and buying again does not extend an earlier purchase.
Can I use the same sign-in for Business, Agency and Partners?
Yes. There is one sign-in. Your workspace shows only the purchases and client projects linked to the addresses you have verified, and a client who receives a report link cannot open your workspace.
Can I close or archive a client project early?
You can archive a finished project to keep your list tidy, but archiving does not free Agency Pass capacity before the project's 90-day window ends. You can cancel a project that has not started, or the pages of a started project that have not yet been assessed. Work already assessed stays in your report and is not refunded.
Does monitoring replace rechecks?
No. A recheck compares your original findings with the page now. Optional monitoring makes scheduled checks of the pages you select, looking for newly detected issues and possible regressions. Monitoring is not continuous, and it does not extend the original report or its rechecks.
How does agency branding work?
Agency Pass customers and approved Partners can choose their own or a client's branding for reports, Fix Packs and Closeouts. A branded report does not show Clir's name, but it still says that it is an automated assessment and still states what was tested, the date, the limitations, the findings and their evidence. It is not a manual audit or a certification.
What should I do if I find a mistake in a report?
Send support the report reference, the affected page and a short description of what you saw. Do not send passwords or payment-card information. We can check whether a rule, a snapshot or an attribution was wrong. Correcting a software defect does not mean Clir certifies the website or guarantees future results.
