Refund Policy

Last updated 31 October 2026

Clir provides one-time website accessibility assessments and an optional Agency Pass subscription for professional client work.

Because assessment work may begin immediately and reports are produced for a specific website and selected scope, purchases are generally non-refundable once a successfully completed assessment has been delivered, except where this policy or applicable law provides otherwise.

An assessment is considered delivered when Clir has completed the purchased assessment and made the private report available to you through your report access link. Delivery does not depend on whether you open or use the link.

When we provide a refund

We will provide a full refund where:

  • you were charged more than once for the same purchase;
  • payment was successfully taken but Clir is unable to produce the purchased assessment;
  • a technical failure on our side results in no usable assessment being delivered; or
  • a refund is otherwise required by applicable law.

Multi-page assessments

Occasionally, individual pages may block automated access, become unavailable, time out or otherwise be impossible to assess.

Clir may retry unsuccessful pages. Successfully assessed pages are preserved if another page fails.

A small number of inaccessible or unsuccessful pages does not automatically make an otherwise successfully delivered assessment refundable.

If a significant part of your purchased assessment cannot be completed after reasonable retry attempts, contact support@clir.site. We will review the circumstances and may rerun affected work or provide a full refund where appropriate.

Your report identifies which pages were assessed and which were not, and a page that could not be assessed is never presented as a page with no findings. If the missing part materially prevents delivery of what you purchased, we may rerun the affected work or provide a full refund, and we will provide the remedy that applicable law requires. The remedy does not depend only on a percentage where the unassessed pages are central to your scope.

Change of mind

Once a successfully completed assessment has been delivered, we do not ordinarily provide a refund simply because you:

  • changed your mind;
  • no longer need the report;
  • decided not to implement its recommendations; or
  • selected the wrong website or assessment scope.

Please check the website and selected pages carefully before payment.

Reporting a problem

If there is a problem with your assessment, please contact support@clir.site as soon as reasonably possible after delivery so we can investigate. We encourage you to contact us within 14 days where possible. This is a period for reporting problems; it does not create a 14-day change-of-mind or money-back period and does not limit any rights you may have under applicable law.

Please include enough information for us to identify the relevant purchase and understand the problem.

Refund processing

Approved refunds are returned through the original payment method.

Your bank or payment provider may require additional time to make the refunded funds available.

A full refund may revoke access to the paid report. A report issued before a refund is not altered, but after a full refund it can no longer be opened.

Agency Pass

You can cancel an Agency Pass at any time. Cancelling stops renewal; the period you have paid for remains available and is not refunded pro rata.

If you have not started any client project, we will refund a new Agency Pass subscription in full if you ask within 14 days of the first payment. After a client project has been started, a subscription payment is not refunded because you no longer need the pass, but the rules above apply to a client project that cannot be completed.

The 14-day unused-pass refund described above applies only to your initial Agency Pass payment. It does not restart when your subscription renews. To avoid a renewal charge, cancel before your renewal date. Renewal payments are not ordinarily refundable once charged, except where required by applicable law or where Clir agrees otherwise in a particular case.

If a subscription payment is refunded in full, new client projects can no longer be started from that pass. Client projects you have already started, their report links and their rechecks are not affected.

Statutory rights

Clir is intended for business and professional use, but some consumer and local protections cannot be excluded wherever a purchaser is located. Nothing in this Refund Policy excludes or restricts rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

Rechecks

Rechecks are part of the assessment they come with. If an assessment is refunded, access to the report and to any unused rechecks ends.

A recheck that has been used is not undone by a later change to the website. Clir does not refund a recheck because it found that issues remain.

Reruns and partial assessment failures

Where a technical problem affects only part of a multi-page assessment, Clir may first retry the affected work or rerun pages that did not complete successfully. Successfully completed pages do not need to be discarded merely because another page failed. The appropriate outcome depends on whether the purchased assessment as a whole remains usable and whether the missing work can reasonably be completed.

A page that blocks automated access, becomes unavailable or cannot be reached because of conditions on the assessed website is not automatically treated in the same way as a failure of Clir's service. If a significant part of the purchased scope cannot be delivered, contact support and we will review the completed scope, the unsuccessful pages and the available retry information before determining whether a rerun or refund is appropriate.
